I’m beginning to think I have a serious problem. I have a bad case of the don’t want to do its. I keep thinking up a hundred different things I want to do instead of working on product for my No Coast/Handmaidens weekend or even Christmas presents.
I have four bags, ten cozies, and twelve wallets cut out and waiting for assembly.
I have no fewer than twelve presents I would like to make. In fact, I only have one present made and one cut out. Some of them are really quite easy.
And yet, I would like to make a hat, a skirt, a secret bag, homemade bagels, red velvet cupcakes… I keep saying, “after Christmas,” but the pull is ridiculously strong. So strong, in fact, that I’m writing this entry on my iPod from work.
It’s all I can think about! I can’t even focus on all the fabric I need to find a home for…
Head on over to the St. Cloud National Guard Armory (1710 8th St N/Veterans Drive) between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, October 25 for the Women of Today Shopping Boutique. There will be all sorts of great vendors as well as a “Kids Karnival.”
Silver Pear Designs will be there in all our glory, vending headbands, wallets, totebags, buttons, cozies, and hair snaps.
We have tons of new cozies, some clearance, and even a special offer that’s only available at craft sales!
It should be a fun time. In honor of the Kids Karnival, my little girls’ headbands are only $5!
Jenna and I found out the folks at No Coast Craft-O-Rama had an opening they were willing to offer us. But we had to act fast. Even though I’m terrified of taking any more time off this fall (it’s a hairy time in retail to think about requesting days off… Christmas, you know), there was no way we could turn down No Coast.
I’ll post this information again closer to the actual sale, but for now I’m excited to say that Silver Pear Designs will be found here:
So, I no longer feel safe with the inventory I have. No Coast will give us the opportunity to shake or crafty money-makers, and I need to be as well stocked as I posibly can. Despite that, I did manage to get 75% done with a Christmas present that I can’t even pretend to talk about here. People might see it, and that would ruin the surprise. I think we’ll be looking at two months of me not posting the things I’m working on, because I’d rather not ruin any surprises.
Our weekends are filling up FAST over at Silver Pear Designs.
On Saturday, October 18th, 2008, we will be selling at the North Dale Annual Fall Craft Show.
We will have a great cozy special going on, which is only available at our shows, a TON of brand new cozy designs (30+), and we will have a lot of great cozies on clearance!
The sale will be held at the North Dale Recreations Center from 9am-2pm.
1414 N. St. Albans, St. Paul, MN. Hope to see you there!
We’ll be in the basement (where the raffle box is stationed, so don’t miss that!) directly across from the door and next to our dear friends from Creative Sundries. The theme this time around is Prom, which I’m actually quite excited for. I was considering wearing my old prom dress, but I think I will just wear a dress, dress. Or maybe a skirt. You’ll have to come in order to find out!
You can pick up cards for the raffle at the sale, or from our table. Every vendor is donating an item, so each winner is bound to get some really awesome stuff!
