Wednesday Who’s Who: Western Art Glass

When I first met Brian, I was charmed by the stained glass fish he brought to our EtsyMN meeting.

Then I started making Minnesota themed treasuries, and he started leaving these well crafted comments seemingly intended to make you go “hmm…” He makes me wish I read more, and he makes me wish I had more windows. If I had more windows, I can guarantee that I would have a leaf hanging in every single one.

They’re made from recycled beer bottles, which constantly amazes me. The Pilsner Urquell one above is my favorite. Though I’m not a beer drinker myself, I appreciate the glass that goes into protecting the drink. And apparently beer in glass bottles tastes better. Quite frankly, a leaf made out of a can would not look nearly as pretty in my window.
